Thank you for helping create worship videos during this unusual period where we can't physically sing together.
Here are you instructions for this week.
Recorded Parts and a PDF file of the anthem are provided below. You can either print out the music or read the file on your computer or tablet.
Listen to your part multiple times.
Be as accurate in pitch and rhythm as possible. I have limited ability to make adjustment afterward. You'll hear the piano accompaniment, AND a background metronome. The 'click' does get slower if there is a ritardando or metric shift.
Record a video (or just audio is fine) of yourself singing your part. You need TWO devices (like a phone and a computer or a phone and a tablet). You also need a pair of headphones or earbuds. You can also record audio and video files SEPARATELY and send us both files.
On one device (for example your computer) use headphones/earbuds to listen to the recording below.
At the SAME TIME, use the other device to record yourself singing along with the recording.
You may find it helpful to just listen with one side of the headphones or one earbud - this makes it easier to hear yourself singing.
Don't worry about extra time at the beginning or end of the video - we'll take care of this.
Send us your video/audio in whatever way is easiest. You can email your video to me (jonathan.rs@emanuelhartford.org ) or put your file in this shared folder. You can use Dropbox, Google Drive, Facebook Messenger, iCloud, etc.
Complete this process by Monday, 12.21.20 at noon.
Here is a short VIDEO explanation with two examples of how you might record a video.
Here is a better VIDEO (thanks Michelle) with some suggestions on recording techiniques based on our experience so far.
HOSIANNA is for ANY singers who would like to participate. It is in Swedish.
